Highfield House Spring Wedding | Grace and Mikey

AHH FIRST WEDDING OF THE YEAR! The first wedding of the year is always an exciting one- but this one was different! I had the absolute pleasure of photographing my fabulous wedding-industry friend Grace (who is amazing and you should hire her for your own wedding!) and her amazing husband Mikey, and their wedding at Highfield House was such a good one! If you’ve never been to this venue, just picture a dreamy country house with the perfect mix of elegance and laid-back charm—basically, a photographer’s dream.

The morning kicked off with Grace getting ready at her parents’ house with her two bridesmaids, full of excitement and happy chaos (as all good wedding mornings should be). Over at the venue, Mikey was getting prepped for the big moment, and their celebrant, Penelope, delivered an unforgettable ceremony—wedding rings delivered by their actual dog, a beautiful reading from Grace’s mum, and even warming crystals. It was heartfelt, personal, and full of those little moments that make a wedding feel so special.

For a March wedding, the weather was unreal—blue skies, sunshine all day, not a single drop of rain in sight. Guests made the most of it, drinks in hand on the terrace while we ticked off all the important family photos. The speeches? An absolute highlight. Plenty of laughter, a few emotional moments, and some top-tier stories that had everyone in bits.

And then… the party. The dancefloor was packed, the drinks were flowing, and everyone brought the energy. If there’s one way to sum up Grace & Mikey’s day—it was all about love, laughter, and one very good dog.
